The challenge

The What If News Challenge is an innovation competition that brings together different disciplines in an effort to improve journalism. We started the challenge in April 2012 by asking a single question:

What If News Challenge

A total of eight original ideas were presented at the first annual WIN Challenge event on April 25, 2012 at the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. The winning innovator received a $500 check by the Division of Multimedia Properties in the College to continue the development of the idea. The winning entry was Matt Riva’s portato. See the other entries on the entries tab above.
