Judges

The following five individuals will be judging the WIN Challenge for Spring 2012.

Joel Axon

Axon is Assistant Managing Editor-Digital for The Gainesville Sun and Ocala Star-Banner. He previously worked as the online director at The Courier and was an online content producer at the Sun. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Suzette Cook

Cook is the publisher and editor of Suzette’s Gazette, a community sponsored and community-driven newspaper in Newberry, Florida. She has worked as a journalist at the Ann Arbor News, Oakland Tribune, The Gainesville Sun and the Alligator. She was a high school photography and design teacher for 10 years. She is currently a master’s student in journalism at UF.

James Oliverio

Oliverio is the Director of the Digital Worlds Institute at the University of Florida with full professorships in Digital Arts and Sciences as well as in Music. Oliverio is internationally known as a creative artist, educator and producer, and is a frequent speaker and consultant to digital media, industry and education programs.

Anna Williams

Williams is a video game developer with six years of game development experience. Prior to joining the Digital Worlds Institute, Williams received her bachelor’s degree in Digital Arts and Sciences from the University of Florida.

Randy Wright

Wright is the executive director of the Division of Multimedia Properties in College of Journalism and Communications. Wright oversees public television and radio stations WUFT-TV/FM, WJUF-FM and WLUF-LP, and WRUF-AM/FM and their websites. He was the public-address announcer for the University of Missouri men’s basketball team for 22 years and Missouri football for six years, and the announcer for the NFL’s St. Louis Rams prior to coming to UF.
